Locally available materials of construction

• Rising industrialization generates greater demand of materials for various construction activities wherein, exploiting the non-renewable (virgin) materials poses a great risk of depleting the available natural resources. Use of sustainable materials such as concrete with fly ash as a substitute of cement, fly ash bricks, recycled glass, ceramic tiles, steel, gypsum ceiling are preferred eco-friendly options.
• Majority of materials specified in the construction are preferred from local sources thus reducing the energy incurred in mining of raw materials and transportation.
• The Heat Island Effect on Roof and Parking area is complied by covering with highly reflective sheets and tiles or providing vegetation to cover the exposed area.
• Paints and Adhesive materials with Low VOC / Zero VOC having low emissions are opted towards reducing the adverse health impacts of building occupants.
