Rise in Water demand is directly proportional to the ever expanding urbanisation and industrialisation. Sustainable design concepts for conserving this valuable resource by means of various measures to reduce, recycle and reuse the water are adopted in planning and design of facilities.
In order to replenish the ground water table and also to reduce the usage of fresh water, efficient Rain water harvesting systems to capture rain water run-off are designed. Recharge wells replenish the aquifer and storage tanks with filtration systems are devised for collection of rain water to be reused in landscape irrigation and indoor water usage.
Treated water from the Sewage Treatment plants is also used for Gardening and toilet flushing; thus reducing the requirement of drawing fresh water from the ground for domestic use. A step towards water conservation as well as zero liquid discharge outside the plot – Zero liquid discharge process is designed to support healthy and sustainable environment.
Effluent generated in Industries, mainly from manufacturing process, reject water from reverse osmosis plant, regeneration water of D.M., MB Unit, Softener, Multi grade Filter and Activated Carbon Filter are treated in Effluent Treatment Plants. Post the tertiary treatment of the effluent, the treated water is reused for gardening and domestic use. A conscious step towards Environmental Responsibility.
Water Efficient Plumbing Fixtures, landscaping with native species of plants and optimising the lawn area help control wastage of water – an indirect measure towards water conservation.
